Love was in the air when Xavier Medecin and Mary Louise Starkey met 2 decades ago, although it took them more years to find each other. Xavier kept hearing Mary’s name as he was falling asleep, and he decided to fly to Denver to find out why. The two had dinner at a posh steakhouse downtown, and the service was so spectacular that he never left.
While continuing to run the Starkey International Institute for Household Management, the loving couple decided to add more adventure to their already bountiful lives. They are inviting others to experience not only their 13,000-square-foot home but also the $600,000 they have spent in renovations and upgrades to create the experience of staying at the Starkey Mansion. They sanded floors and painted and customized each room to ensure their guests’ comfort and enjoyment.
While guests are visiting their home, Mary and Xavier welcome them on their way to visit clients in the high-net-worth community, where they help set up luxury-level service. Mr. Medecin also continues to train Starkey students, relying on his 35 years of experience as a butler, while Mrs. Starkey hand-selects Graduates for her high-net-worth clients.
